I bought this Edelbrock to replace an old racing Street Demon 4b. Despite Edelbrock's reputation, I actually thought this was probably going to be a bit of a downgrade in terms of power and performance. Man, was I glad I was wrong. This carburetor isn't just as powerful, but the fact that it is more practical than the Street Demon makes it amazing. My Street Demon was clocked for a 150HP NO dump and was aggressively dialed to burn rich. After installing the Edelbrock, I'm just glad I can burn 87 without having to worry about breaking something! This product has been no less than absolutely satisfactory and I would recommend it to anyone doing a restore for a 350 small block chevy engine. This carburetor was installed in a 1979 Z28 Camaro I've been restoring for 7+ years. After retiring it from a bit of fun and racing, I'm glad I chose this product to gravitate it to a more practical driving machine without losing any of the power I've spent countless hours putting into the car.

Installed on a Chevy 350 with Muncie 4 speed trans. Out of the box greatness! Wasted a lot of time trying to dial in another brand and couldn't get it close to this one right out of the box. Perfect, smooth, and crisp response.

Found a fantastic deal for an Amazon Warehouse price that was about 30% of MSRP. Retail Box was absolutely destroyed but was inside of a cardboard box that was fine. All the parts were present and the carb looked good so I purchased it. If you have a chance to purchase through the warehouse deals I would recommend it. Bolted this bad boy up and was driving in a half hour. Nice throttle response and as always, it was super easy to dial the carb in.

Excellent carburetor. I installed it on my 86 Chevy silverado with a 305 5.0 engine and stock this carb runs like a top. No adjustments needed.

Bought this to replace a marine carburetor on a 350 Mercruiser. Edelbrock had the marine grade carburetor #1409, but it was priced nearly $200 more than the #1405. After adding a longer bolt for the throttle linkage and plugging 1 vacuum line, it works perfectly and is a huge improvement over the 25-year-old original. In the end, it saved the time it would take to rebuild the old and was cheaper than what it would have been for an exact replacement.

I used this on my 1979 corvette and it works great. It may have lost a little HP but it runs better and the fuel economy is also slightly better. The one issue that I had was that I needed a riser on the manifold to clear things like the EGR valve, which also needed an extension to clear the carb. The other issue is that with all of this lifting the carb the stock air filter housing will not fit on it anymore with a stock hood. I had to replace it with edelbrock air filter that does fit under the hood. This was all fine until I moved to California and now my car doesn't even pass the visual smog inspection. The air cleaner can't be open to the elements. Anyway if you can work around all of those issues and your don't have a carb that can be rebuilt this is a good carb. You may want to check the serial on your current carb. It may be worth some money and might be better for your car to just get it refurbished.

easy install...came wth all gaskets...this one carb has manual choke...make sure thats what you need..put this on my 65 scout sence i already had a cable for it..

Purchased this to install on my vintage American p/u. I'm impressed by the fit and finish of the product, it looks really good sitting on the engine. And it's Made in the USA. Engine started with no adjustments at all. Got a good deal from Amazon because the box had an oil stain on it.

Install Flash Player Awesome!!! I put this on my 1965 Ford Galaxie with a 390. The motor is mildly built, bored, .495 comp cam, performance cast iron heads, performer 390 edelbrock intake,MSD ignition, shorty headers, and full 3 inch exhaust with flow masters. It should make good power, and it did just okay with a Holley 4150 I had on it. This Edelbrock carb made my motor come alive, it’s like a totally different car. Easy to install, and the tune right of the box worked so good I wouldn’t dare mess with it. Runs flawlessly with way more power and smoother than my Holley it replaced. The only adjustment I made was to tweak the idle screw just a little. I changed that only twice with minor adjustments to get it how I wanted it. You can not go wrong in buying this carb for probably any mildly built motor under 400 ci. It is not very often anymore I am this impressed with a product. You can not go wrong with this user friendly, made in The USA product. Thank you Edelbrock!

I really like this carb! Replaced the Demon 750 on my moderately built 390 FE on a '68 F250 with this. The Edelbrock is so much simpler to tune and gas mileage greatly increased. Couldn't be easier to install. Great machining and smooth operation. Starts right up and has great driveability.
